Do you want to experience the Arctic summer nature while going for a walk with life-loving huskies, and learn all about them and what it is to live in the woods with a pack of sled dogs?
In order to offer you a unique and memorable husky experience we have partnered up with professional sled dog mushers Jussi and Inka Holck. This local couple lives with their alaskan huskies further out from the Rovaniemi main area so they have built a cozy husky camp closer to the hotel for us to enjoy the magic of sled dogs. The huskies are their family and the wellbeing and happiness of the dogs is the number one priority for Jussi and Inka. They run their husky kennel responsibly and ethically towards the animals and the nature. In addition to offering husky safaris they also take part in long distance sled dog races around Scandinavia.

The Husky Walk includes:
- A sporty walk or a hike with huskies (1 dog per two persons)
- The level of difficulty may vary depending on the weather conditions and the preferences of the guests
- Stories about the dogs
- Interacting with the dogs
- Return transfer from/to Nova Galaxy Village
- Guiding

Description:
The husky walk is a guided walk or a hike with huskies on forest trails. The nature of the activity is sporty and the level of difficulty may vary depending on the weather conditions and the preferences of the guests, from a sporty walk to an uphill hike. The dogs like to pull a lot when they walk so there will be 1 dog per 2 persons so that you can take turns walking the dog. It is recommended to wear comfortable outdoor clothing and good shoes that are suitable for forest trails. In addition to the walk you will hear stories about the huskies and you can pet the dogs and take pictures with them. The duration of the whole activity is about 2 hours which includes the walk (about 1 hour) and the transfers (about 1 hour in total).
