The Husky Experience (Autumn Edition)

Do you want to experience the arctic nature and Autumy landscape while being pulled in a cart by a talented team of Alaskan huskies and to get to know the huskies individually, learn all about them and what it is to live in the woods with a pack of sled dogs?

In order to offer you a unique and memorable husky experience we have partnered up with professional sled dog mushers Jussi and Inka Holck. This local couple lives with their alaskan huskies further out from the Rovaniemi main area so they have built a cozy husky camp closer to the hotel for us to enjoy the magic of sled dogs. The huskies are their family and the wellbeing and happiness of the dogs is the number one priority for Jussi and Inka. They run their husky kennel responsibly and ethically towards the animals and the nature. In addition to offering husky safaris they also take part in long distance sled dog races around Scandinavia.

The Husky Experience includes:
- A short, few-minute Husky Cart Ride (passenger in the cart, 2-3 persons at a time)
- Visit to the husky camp
- Stories about the dogs
- Interacting with the dogs
- Guiding
- Winter thermal clothing (overalls, boots, gloves & woollen socks, subject to weather condition)

Description:

The husky cart safari is driven by the guide, so you will be enjoying the ride sitting in the cart (2-3 persons at a time). In addition to the cart safari you will hear stories about the huskies and you can pet the dogs and take pictures with them. The duration of the whole activity is about 45 minutes which includes the safari (few minutes) and the visit.
