Key Features:
Experience the nature
Did you know that the cozy Autumn is the perfect time to come to Lapland if you are interested to see all the magical Autumn colors of the nature and also the Northern lights?
They say that in Autumn the Northern lights could be even easier to spot since there is now snow yet on the ground that reflects light to the air. The nature is full of colors with all the hues of orange and red when the trees and plants change their shape before the Winter. In Autumn you can also pick berries from the forest and enjoy a calmer Rovaniemi before the busiest season.
Do you want to experience the Arctic nature and Autumn landscape while being pulled in a cart by a talented team of Alaskan huskies and to get to know the huskies individually, learn all about them and what it is to live in the woods with a pack of sled dogs?
The husky cart safari is driven by the guide, so you will be enjoying the ride sitting in the cart. In addition to the cart ride you will hear stories about the huskies and you can pet the dogs and take pictures with them.
Responsible and ethical tourism where animal welfare comes first
At Nova, we take animal welfare and ethical tourism very seriously. So, in order to offer you a unique and memorable husky experience we have partnered up with professional sled dog musher Jussi Holck and his wife, Inka. This local couple lives with their Alaskan huskies further out from the Rovaniemi main area so they have built a cozy husky camp closer to the hotel for us to enjoy the magic of sled dogs.
The huskies are their family and the wellbeing and happiness of the dogs is the number one priority for Jussi and Inka. They run their husky kennel responsibly and ethically towards the animals and the nature. In addition to offering husky safaris they also take part in long distance sled dog races around Scandinavia.
